IELTS Academic and General Training each assess four skills. Listening and Speaking are shared; Reading and Writing differ by pathway.

  • Parts 1 and 2 cover everyday social situations. Parts 3 and 4 cover education and training.
  • Each recording is played once. Follow the word and number limits for each answer.
  • On computer, you get 2 minutes at the end to check answers. Paper-based tests provide 10 minutes to transfer answers.

How our practice differs

These boxes describe the official test. Our independent simulator uses original content and recorded Speaking practice, not a live examiner. Rehearsal has no enforced time limit; Mock Tests use exam timing. Test 1 has shorter Listening audio. Scores are practice estimates.
